What this website collects, why, and who sees it.

Cape May Traditions is the website for Sea Foam Manor and Azure Estate, two privately owned vacation homes on New Jersey Avenue in Cape May, New Jersey. This page explains how the site handles the information you share with us.
What we collect
- Availability inquiries. When you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, phone number (optional), the home and dates you are asking about, your party size and your message.
- Guest reviews. When you leave a review we receive your name, where you are from, your email address, the home, your rating and your review. Your name, hometown, rating and review are published once the owner approves them. Your email address is never published.
- Technical data. Like any website, our server records your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. We use the IP address to limit repeated form submissions and to screen out spam.
- Usage statistics. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages are visited and how people find us. It uses cookies and reports in aggregate.
How we use it
We use your inquiry to answer your question about dates, pricing and the homes, and we send you a confirmation copy by email. We use reviews to show other families what a stay is like. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.
Who sees it
- Wayne, the owner of both homes, who reads every inquiry and review.
- Comp Edge Solutions, which built and maintains this website and receives copies of site email to keep it working.
- Service providers that run parts of the site for us: our web host, our email delivery provider, and Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, reCAPTCHA spam protection on the contact form, and Maps when you choose to load a map).
If you book through Coastline Realty, their own privacy practices apply to that booking.
Cookies
The site sets a short-lived session cookie so the forms work and are protected against forgery. Google Analytics and reCAPTCHA set their own cookies. Maps are not loaded until you tap "Tap to load the map", so Google Maps sets no cookies unless you ask for a map. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works, although the contact form may ask you to try again.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept in the owner's email and in a server log for as long as they are useful for answering you and for the following season's bookings. Reviews stay on the site until you ask us to remove them or the owner retires them.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information you have sent through this site, or to remove a published review. Email stay@capemaytraditions.com and we will take care of it. To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, you can use Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Children
This site is meant for adults planning a vacation. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
